Throughout most of her professional career, Sofia Bøtker has devoted her time to infrastructure projects, and she primarily advises public clients on public-law issues within road conditions, acquisition of areas and rights, planning law and the legal position of supply line owners. Accordingly, her client portfolio also includes the public sector in general, including a number of municipalities and other public enterprises, such as Metroselskabet, Odense Letbane and Hovedstadens Letbane.
Sofia was previously employed with the Danish Road Directorate and the City of Copenhagen, respectively, and through this work she has gained in-depth understanding of the setting in which her public clients work. As such, she also renders general advice on administration law, handling of requests for access to documents as well as inquiries from citizens, provides input at political level and assistance in connection with the conclusion of contracts.
Sofia is also an external lecturer of administration law at the University of Copenhagen.
